Huawei’s launch schedule is no longer regular, but it confirmed that it plans to launch the Mate 50 series, and the latest leak in this regard showed images of the three main phones and a new tablet, in addition to revealing a set of rumored specifications, as the series was monitored in several databases of numerous certificates. In China, leaks suggest that the Huawei Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro and Mate 50 RS will be released with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 888, although it is still limited to 4G connectivity only.
Huawei Mate 50 series
The company has not officially revealed the exact details regarding the upcoming smartphones, but the well-known digital chat station Tipster has shared some specifications related to the Mate 50 series, and through its social media posts it is claimed that the series will come with these specifications:
The series will have 66W fast charging support, a 4,500mAh battery on the Pro and RS models in addition to wireless charging, and a 4,400mAh battery in the standard model.
The Huawei Mate 50 Pro will come with a number of new features and functions. In addition to the usual face recognition system for biometric security, it will also have a curved screen design on the front.
According to rumors, the Mate 50 series will have BOE AMOLED screens, the screens of the Pro and RS models are claimed to be 78-inch curved, offering 120Hz refresh, 1212×2612 pixels resolution, standard model LTPS flat screen, refresh 90 Hz and a resolution of (1225 x 2800 pixels), and regarding its size is not entirely clear.
As for the camera, it is said to have a 50-megapixel main camera, and it is expected that all three models will have a telephoto lens, but its specifications are not clear, and as for the selfie camera, it will be a 13-megapixel lens with a 3D sensor to unlock the face in the Pro and RS models.
The Huawei 50 RS model will have a ceramic body, while the other two models will have a metal and glass body.
Rumored specs include a fourth model, the Huawei Mate 50E, which is similar to the standard model, except that it will use the Snapdragon 778G chipset (which is limited to support for 4G connectivity).
As for the release date, one image shows that the series will be released on September 7, and sales start on the ninth of the same month.
