Dennis Hauger of PREMA Racing took his first Formula 2 win in Monte Carlo and won from the front row of the grid.
The Norwegian dominated the race after taking the lead at the start. Jehan Daruvala made it a PREMA one-two with Marcus Armstrong rounding out the podium finishes for the Hitech Grand Prix.
F2: Drugovich on Monaco pole after Lawson penalty
Jake Hughes had taken pole position, but stopped when the lights went out, allowing Hauger to take the lead of the race and take a lead he would never give up.
Behind them, Theo Pourchaire was the man on the move on the opening lap, finishing sixth behind Alpine Academy driver Jack Doohan at the Grand Hotel Hairpin.

Enzo Fittipaldi was also one of the main beneficiaries of Hughes’ stall, climbing to fourth place. The Brazilian couldn’t keep up with the podium finishes, but was able to comfortably hold Red Bull junior Juri Vips at bay throughout the race to finish fourth.

Pourchaire took three points from the sprint and finished in sixth place with Doohan seventh. The Australian secured the fastest lap of the last tour in seventh. Liam Lawson claimed the final points-paying spot in eighth.
Championship leader Felipe Drugovich had a nightmarish afternoon, suffering a flat tire on the first lap of the race and falling backwards. He then bet on wet tires for a rainstorm that never came. He eventually retired from the race after falling for five laps.
