Nintendo has released the first playable demo for the upcoming Mario Strikers: Battle League, although you can’t quite play it yet. The publisher also laid out some of its plans for the game after launch ahead of the Nintendo Switch release on June 10, 2022.

Available now on Nintendo eShop, the demo is only available for a limited time and allows players to dive in battle league‘s online modes during active online periods. Throughout the demo, the game’s training mode will also be available, allowing players to test their skills before getting into an online game with real people.

- Friday, June 3 – 8-9pm PT
- Saturday, June 4 – 4-5pm PT
- Saturday, June 4 – 12-1pm PT
- Saturday, June 4 – 8-9pm PT
- Sunday, June 5 – 4-5pm PT
- Sunday, June 5 – 1 p.m. PT

In addition to the demo, Nintendo also took to social media to detail their plans for the game’s post-launch content, and confirmed via Twitter that updates are planned, including new characters being added to the game. No official characters or updates were given, but Nintendo said to keep an eye out for them if they arrive in the future.

Finally a new movie for Mario Strikers: Battle League was released and reveals what the game’s opening movie will look like when players first turn it on. The new movie showcases an ongoing match, complete with some of the chaotic abilities found in the game, including using a Bob omb, special abilities like Donky Kong’s punches, or Mario’s super kick.
